Eyah!!President elect losses son to Dog bite

Punch Reported Habibu Barrow, one of The Gambia’s President-elect Adams Barrow’s five children, was killed by a dog on Sunday, according to the British Broadcasting Corporation.
The eight-year-old was said to have died in Banjul enroute to the hospital after he was mauled by a dog.
His father, who is in Senegal pending the resolution of the leadership crisis in the country, could not attend his burial, which was done according to Islamic rites.

Please allow Court determine my fate-Jammeh begs Ecowas.

According to punch news,President of The Gambia, Yahya Jammeh, has made a recording of a phone conversation he had with the Chairperson of the Economic Community of West African States, Liberian President Ellen Johnson Sirleaf, public.
In the video recording, Jammeh begged Sirleaf to convince other West African leaders to allow hired Supreme Court judges to travel to Banjul to hear his petition challenging the outcome of the presidential election.
Jammeh had in his bid to cling to power after 22 years as President of The Gambia rejected the outcome of the December 1 Presidential election, which was won by Adama Barrow.
ECOWAS had called on him to hand over power to Barrow, warning that he won’t be recognised as President of the country from January 19, the date Barrow is supposed to be sworn in as President.

Will God make this Prophet escape jail

According to hmetro,A SELF-confessed fake prophet was punished by the court after he admitted to planting man-made goblins under a city woman’s bed to appear as if she was into witchcraft practices.
Itai Mubayiwa, who calls himself Madzibaba Peter, was ordered to perform 210 hours of unpaid work after he admitted to charges of indicating wizards and witchcraft.
“I realise about US$3 to US$4 per day. I am the bread winner in our family. I beg that you don’t give me custodial sentence,” he said.
Circumstances leading to his arrest are that on August 31 last year at around mid-morning Stanley Chiweshe, Shelter Kwaramba-Chiweshe and Paul Chiweshe engaged Mubayiwa and his friend Chamunorwa Rusenza, to wrongfully indicate Magnacater Chiweshe a witch.
Rusenza was convicted of the same charges and was ordered to perform 105 hours of community service after admitting to the offence.
On September 1 last year Mubayiwa and Rusenza went to Mupedzanhamo in Mbare where they bought a man-made baboon head object and another item that looked like a horn.
The horn contained some blood.
They planned to buy the baboon head and the horn from Mbare and plant it in Magnacater’s bedroom.
An arrangement was made in which the ‘sangoma’ was to visit the Chiweshe’s house under the pretext of extending condolences to Magnacater’s husband who had lost a relative.
They also arranged that Rusenza and Mubayiwa would introduce themselves as friends to the late relative.
Upon arrival at Chiweshe’s place of residence Rusenza and Mubayiwa extended their condolences and asked to hold a prayer.
After being permitted Rusenza and Mubayiwa told Magnacater’s husband that there was need to cleanse the house since there were some goblins which were in the house.
Rusenza told Magnacater’s husband that the goblins belonged to his wife and they were responsible for the death of his relative.
Magnacater was in Israel by the time Rusenza and his ‘workmate’ visited her place of residence.
The 43-year-old woman was told of what had happened upon her return into the country.
Irked by what she had heard, she then took the matter to the police leading to Rusenza and Mubaiwa’s arrest.

Huawei to beat Samsung,Techno,All other Android without going public??

According to a news Source,Over the past few years, whenever I have been asked which Chinese company is on my radar, I keep mentioning Huawei Technologies.
Huawei is rarely a topic of conversation in Japan, possibly because it is unlisted. Recently, however, the name recognition of this telecommunications equipment manufacturer is increasing in my country because its smartphones have become available here.
In the global smartphone market, Huawei has already captured the third-largest share after Samsung Electronics and Apple. The question is whether it can overtake the South Korean giant without going public.
In its Jan. 6 online edition, The Nikkei reported from Las Vegas that Huawei wants to expand in the U.S. and plans to do so via a smartphone that adopts Amazon's artificial intelligence technology. At a press event during the 2017 International Consumer Electronics Show, Huawei announced the U.S. release of its Mate 9 smartphone equipped with an app that uses Amazon's AI called Alexa.
The announcement was made while Amazon Vice President Steve Rabuchin was on the stage. Upon seeing this, I thought to myself, Huawei will use Amazon's prowess to pry open the door.
Great American wall
In the global smartphone market in the third quarter of 2016, Samsung had a 19.2% share followed by Apple at 11.5% and Huawei at 8.7%, according to American market research company Gartner.
Richard Yu Chengdong, CEO of Huawei's consumer group, said the company will seek to become the world's second-largest smartphone maker by 2018 and capture the top spot in four to five years. He said this in an interview carried in The Wall Street Journal's online Japanese-language edition on Sept. 2, 2016.
While the U.S. market holds the key to Huawei's plan to surpass Apple and Samsung, the Shenzhen-based company has long been shut out there over speculation that the company has a special relationship with the Chinese government because of founder and CEO Ren Zhengfei's background as a former People's Liberation Army officer.
The U.S. Congress has continued to demand that Huawei's telecom equipment not be used for fear that it may be co-opted for Chinese espionage activities. Although Huawei has denied the allegation, its smartphone market share in the U.S. is said to be less than 1%.

Nigeria to protect Gambia if If Jammeh step down

Speaking of the ECOWAS high-level mission to Banjul, the head of the U.N.’s office for West Africa and the Sahel, Mohamed Ibn Chambas, Friday told the Security Council that “they plan to leave no doubt about the determination of ECOWAS to use all necessary means, including force, to have the will of the Gambian people upheld.”
“Should this be deemed necessary,” Ibn Chambas continued, “ECOWAS intends to seek the endorsement of the AU Peace and Security Council and the formal approval of this council to deploy troops to the Gambia.”
International military historian at the University Félix Houphouët-Boigny in Abidjan, Arthur Banga, says the Gambian military would likely be no match for ECOWAS forces.

President Elect to be in Senega till inaguration

According to BBC, Gambia's President-elect Adama Barrow is to remain in Senegal until his planned inauguration on Thursday, state media in Senegal say.
The move was requested by West African leaders after a summit in Mali, Senegalese news agency APS said.
President Yahya Jammeh is currently refusing to step down until the supreme court can hear his challenge in May.
Regional bloc Ecowas wants the UN to approve military action if Mr Barrow's
Mali's president Ibrahim Keita called for "proverbial African wisdom" to prevail to avert a bloodbath and there are growing fears that the uncertainty could cause a refugee exodus.
Thousands of Gambians, mostly women and children, have already crossed the border into neighbouring Senegal and further afield to Guinea-Bissau, where they do not require a visa, officials say.
Mr Barrow, who beat Mr Jammeh in last month's election, was at the Bamako summit and was referred to as the president.
Last week Nigeria's president flew to the Gambian capital Banjul to try to broker a deal but Mr Jammeh would not relinquish power.
Mr Jammeh's attempt to overturn the election result has been delayed because of a shortage of judges but his legal team has asked for an injunction to block Mr Barrow's inauguration.
The African Union has said it will no longer recognise Mr Jammeh's rule after his term ends.
The 51-year-old leader seized power in the country in 1994 and has been accused of human rights abuses, although he has held regular elections.

Trump to heavy taxed BMW Products made in Mexico,Before find way into US market

According to Reuternews,President-elect Donald Trump has warned the United States will impose a border tax of 35 percent on cars that German carmaker BMW plans to build at a new plant in Mexico and export to the U.S. market.
Trump was speaking in an interview with German newspaper Bild, which on Sunday released excerpts of his comments translated into German.
A BMW spokeswoman said a BMW Group plant in San Luis Potosi would build the BMW 3 Series starting from 2019, with the output intended for the world market. The plant in Mexico would be an addition to existing 3 Series production facilities in Germany and China.
Trump said BMW should build its new car factory in the United States because this would be “much better” for the company.
He went on to say Germany was a great car producer, borne out by Mercedes Benz cars being a frequent sight in New York, but there was no reciprocity.
Germans were not buying Chevrolets at the same rate, he said, making the business relationship an unfair one-way street. He said he was an advocate of free trade, but not at any cost.
The BMW spokeswoman said the company was “very much at home in the U.S.,” employing directly and indirectly nearly 70,000 people in the country.

Don't you ever call dog useless,Dog is useful than you."Can you rescue in snowbank"

According to blaze,A Michigan man known only as Bob describes the night he almost died, when he laid in the freezing snow for 19 hours, this way:
“I was screaming for help but my nearest neighbor is about a quarter mile away and it was 10:30 pm, but my Kelsey came.”
Kelsey is Bob’s dog. And she spent those same 19 hours barking her heart out for someone to come and help her Bob, who had gone to retrieve firewood, wearing only nightclothes and slippers, and had fallen and broken his neck over the New Year holiday
Bob tried to scream for help, but no one could hear him — except his Kelsey. The dog kept Bob warm by laying on top of him and licking his hands and face to keep him awake and alert. By the time Bob lost consciousness, Kelsey was screeching a strange sound that ultimately alerted his neighbor, who found him on New Year’s Day.
Bob was taken to the hospital, and was shocked to discover he was free of frost bite. “I am sure it was because of Kelsey’s determination to keep me warm and safe,” he said, according to the Telegraph.
Bob recovered quickly and considers Kelsey — and his attending physician — his hero.
“Kelsey kept me warm, alert, and never stopped barking for help,” he said.

Unbelievable!!!Japan ahead of USA,Trump surprised over ever advancements

(CNN report)The F-35 Joint Strike Fighter, the most expensive and one of the most controversial weapons systems in US history, is on its way to Japan to be "the cornerstone" of US defense in the Pacific.
The first of 16 US Marine Corps F-35Bs left Arizona Monday on the initial overseas deployment for the stealth jets. The planes are heading for Marine Corps Air Station Iwakuni, not far from Hiroshima, on the Japanese main island of Honshu.
Sending the $104 million jets to Iwakuni shows Washington's "commitment to the defense of Japan with the most capable and modern equipment in the U.S. inventory," 1st Lt. Karoline Foote of the III Marine Expeditionary Force in Japan told CNN in an email.
"It will be the cornerstone of a multi-mission joint force possessing improved mission flexibility and unprecedented effectiveness to engage and destroy both air and ground threats," Foote said.
"The unique combination of stealth, cutting-edge radar and sensor technology, and electronic warfare systems bring all of the access and lethality capabilities of a fifth-generation fighter, a modern bomber, and an adverse-weather, all-threat environment air support platform," a Marine statement said.
The single-engine F-35 comes in three variants. The A version is flown by the US Air Force, the B version by the Marines, and the C version will become part of the US Navy's fleet.
The F-35 is also being sold to and produced by US allies around the world, including Japan, which received its first unit in December. The Marines' F-35B differs from the other versions in that it is capable of vertical take-offs and landings so it can operate from amphibious assault ships, essentially small aircraft carriers. It replaces the AV-8B Harrier, which has been around since the late 1970s.
The Marines said the deployment to Japan is part of the Obama administration's pivot to Asia and not related to any current specific situation.

A statement to allies and foes

But analysts say the presence of the sophisticated jets in Japan still represents a statement to current and potential adversaries in the region.
"Operationally, the F-35B has great potential and moving it to Japan does send a signal to North Korea, which has been making a lot of threats lately and of course, China," Carl Schuster, a Hawaii Pacific University professor and former director of operations at the US Pacific Command's Joint Intelligence Center, said in an email to CNN."There is ... a strategically symbolic facet -- rather than Europe, the Middle East or Australia, it is Asia and Japan that receives the first overseas deployment of the F-35," Corey Wallace, Japan security analyst at Freie University in Berlin, said in an email to CNN. "This signals the priority that the US government and its armed forces place on the alliance at this particular time."
"While the security environment surrounding Japan becomes increasingly severe, the deployment of the most modern and capable equipment to Japan strengthens the deterrence of the Japan-U.S. alliance and contributes to the stability of Asia Pacific region," Japan's Ministry of Defense said.
Tensions between Japan and China have spiked over the past year as the Pacific powers wrangle over control over the Senkaku Islands, which China calls the Diaoyus, in the East China Sea.
In October, Japan said it had dispatched its warplanes 407 times between April 1 and September 30 in reaction to increased Chinese military flights near Japanese airspace.
That's almost double the number of intercepts Japan's Air Self Defense Force made on Chinese aircraft in the same period in 2015. The intercepts have continued into 2017, the most recent being this week.
US defense officials say the F-35 has the upper hand over top Chinese stealth fighters such as the J-20,which Beijing showed off to the public for the first time in November.
"When I hear about F-35 versus J-20, it's almost an irrelevant comparison," US Air Force Chief of Staff Gen. David Goldfein said in August, according to a report from BreakingDefense.com.
The US general said the US F-35 integrates with other US weapons and systems to give it the technological advantage.

Fighting a budget battle

While the F-35Bs come into a tense situation in the region, the cost of the aircraft has also generated strong headwinds of criticism, including from President-elect Donald Trump.
The $400 billion price tag for the 2,443 planes in the US part of the program is double the original budget.
"It's way, way behind schedule and many, many billions of dollars over budget. I don't like that," Trump said in a press conference Wednesday. Trump promised competition for the program to drive down costs.
Sen. John McCain, the Arizona Republican who is chairman of the Senate Armed Services Committee, said in April that repeated problems with the F-35 were "both a scandal and a tragedy."
But on Thursday, Trump's nominee for Secretary of Defense, former Gen. James Mattis, called the F-35 "critical" for US air superiority and for its ability to integrate with allies who are buying the jet.
Many US allies have "bet their air superiority on the F-35 program. It bonds us tightly together with them," Mattis said.
Japan is one of those. In fact, the plane's manufacturer delivered the Japan Air Self-Defense Force its second F-35 on Wednesday. That jet was the 200th delivered from Lockheed Martin's Fort Wallace, the Freie University analyst, said with that commonality between US and Japanese forces, the Japan assignment makes a lot of sense.
"Since the F-35 will be increasingly integrated into Japan's defense force operations, and one of the key features of the F-35's suite of technologies is its enhanced interoperability with other platforms and across air forces, it's no surprise from an operational and tactical point of view to see F-35s being deployed to Japan at this time," he said.
