Riot as Hausa kill Yoruba over #30 in Lagos

According to a report by ThePunch, trouble started when the deceased had bought noodles worth N230 from the suspect’s son on Sunday, January 29, around 10.30pm.
He was reported to have paid N200 and promised to pay the balance of N30 the following day, which did not go down well with the suspect’s son.
“The next thing I saw was that Adamu, who was eavesdropping, brought out a spiked plank and hit Adeleke with it. I cautioned him, but he faced me and hit me in the leg. I sustained some injuries.
“When Adeleke saw that he could no longer handle the situation, he took to his heels. But the man followed him and hit him in the head as he tried to jump the gutter. He fell and hit his head against the edge of the gutter.
“When Adamu saw that he had become unconscious, he took him into his kiosk and poured water on his head. He was doing this when a large number of residents stormed the place. When he sighted them, he abandoned the man and took to his heels.”
He said the suspect, speaking in Hausa, asked his son to flee in another direction.

Trump finally banned illegal immigrants,Give Tribute to Holocaust victims

According to huffingthon post,The statement, below, never specifically mentions Jewish people or anti-Semitism, as both of Trump’s two most recent predecessor have It’s a puzzling omission given the president’s support of isreal and the fact that his daughter converted to Judaism for her husband Jared Kushner.

In his first week in office, Trump has crafted an executive order that would temporarily halt all refugee admissions, dramatically reduce the number of refugees the U.S. accepts, ban Syrian refugees indefinitely, and temporarily ban the entry of anyone from several majority-Muslim countries.
Friday mark 72years since the Auschwitz concentration camp was liberated.
Trump, who was endorsed by the KKK, drew ire last year when he shared an overtly anti-Semitic image of Hillary Clinton that had originally been shared on a white supremacist website. Trump denied that the picture, which featured Clinton’s face next to a pile of money and a Jewish star, was bigoted.
The president was also criticized for hiring Steve Bannon, the former Breitbart executive with white nationalist ties, to be his White House chief strategist.

Buhari should come out and address people if he his healty-NLC

According to punch,The Special Adviser to the President on Media and Publicity, Mr. Femi Adesina, who said this in an interview with CNBC Africa, which was monitored in Abuja, said Buhari could not be compelled to speak from the United Kingdomts from the UK.
Adesina insisted that Buhari was only in London, UK, for vacation and was not in any hospital.
He said, “The President is in London on vacation. He is not in any hospital and he is not ill.
“When he was travelling last week, the statement we put out was that he was going on vacation and during the vacation, he would do routine check-up and nothing has changed from what we pushed out last week.
“If anybody has fed something else into the rumour mill, that is just what it is – rumour.”
When asked if Buhari would be willing to talk to Nigerians from the UK, Adesina said the decision could only be taken by the President himself.
The presidential aide said any attempt to compel Buhari to do so would amount to infringement on his rights.
“The fact that he is a President, he still has his rights. Compelling him to come out and talk will be infringing on his rights. The President will talk if he wishes to. If he doesn’t wish to, nobody will compel him to talk.
“The truth is that the President is on vacation and he has given a date on which he will return to work,’’ Adesina said.
Also on Thursday, the Federal Government debunked the rumour doing the rounds that governors met in Abuja on Thursday and deliberated on the health of Buhari.
It said the report was false. It also added that the governors were also not planning to send representatives to London to see the President.
The Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, stated this when he received members of the Presidential Initiative Committee on the North-East, who visited him in Abuja.
Mohammed said there was no need for the alleged visit, stating that the President was merely observing his leave as stated in the letter sent to the Senate before leaving the country.
He called on Nigerians to stop wishing their leaders sickness and death, saying there was nothing wrong with the President.
The minister added, “I would like to use this medium to refute the claim in some quarters that governors would meet in Abuja today (Thursday) and have discussion over the health of the President.
“Those peddling the rumour also claimed that the governors would send emissaries to the President in London.
“The report is false because the governors are not going to meet and will not send any emissary anywhere because the President is hale and hearty.”
Mohammed appealed to Nigerians to stop preaching what he described as hate and also stop wishing their leaders bad things.
He also urged those behind the rumour to stop it forthwith.
NLC asks Buhari to speak to Nigerians
Meanwhile, the NLC has called on the President to speak to Nigerians.
The NLC argued that it would be proper for the President to make a public appearance to dispel rumours in the country about his health.
The General Secretary of the NLC, Dr. Peter Ozo-Eson, told one of our correspondents on Thursday that the President should speak to Nigerians since Nigerians were worried about his health.
He said the President should call the bluff of those peddling orchestrated rumours by publicly addressing the citizenry.
Ozo-Eson said, “In the social media, stories circulate without confirmation; I think that the easiest way is to talk publicly to the nation because the citizens are concerned about their leaders’ whereabouts.
‘If there are those who orchestrated rumours and they are not true, the easiest way is for him to reach out to Nigerians through a public appearance and a statement.
“Nigerians have a right to be certain about the health situation of their President and the people who orchestrate rumours and unsubstantiated reports, one would wish for him to call their bluff by publicly addressing the citizens.”
But the TUC said it would not be necessary for the President to address Nigerians since he had not been away for long.
The President of the TUC, Mr. Bala Kaigama, stated that Buhari demanded a rest and handed over government to the Vice-President.
According to him, Nigerians can talk about the President’s health if he fails to return after the 10-day period of rest he requested.
He said, “Why do we have to make noise about this? He is coming back; if he were to go and stay for a very long time, it is a different thing. If we have patience, he will come back. We are just being unnecessarily demanding.
“This is somebody who demanded a rest and he has handed over the government to the Vice-President. So our concern is how the VP is handling it; but it his health that has become the issue of the moment.
“But we should allow the old man to have his rest. It is normal for somebody of that age to need rest from time to time. If he goes to rest that does not mean that government will not work now. Let the old man enjoy his rest.
“If he does not come back on the day he is supposed to come, that is when can  talk, but for now, let’s allow him to have his rest, why does he have to come and address us? It doesn’t make any sense.”
The Executive Secretary, Anti-corruption Network, Ebenezer Oyetakin, faulted the call for Buhari to address the nation from the UK, describing it as mischief.
He said, “I do not subscribe to that. It smacks of mischief from such people. We are Africans. We have cultural discipline on some issues.
“He has done the appropriate thing by handing over to the VP as Acting President. Let us be patient and maintain a sense of decorum and respect to the institution of governance.’’

Toshiba to sell cheap slice memory

According to cnnToshiba has said it will split off its operation that makes memory chips for smartphones and computers, and will sell a stake in the new business.
The Japanese company needs to raise funds after revealing a heavy one-off loss at its US nuclear power business.
Toshiba will unveil the size of the writedown next month, but some estimate it could be around $6bn (£5bn).
It is widely reported that 20% of the chip business will be sold off, and the firm is expected to confirm this later.
Toshiba's chip business is the second biggest in the world after Samsung's, and has been valued at between $9bn and $13bn.The firm says it hopes to have struck a deal by the end of March.
Reports suggest Canon, Western Digital and the Development Bank of Japan could be potential buyers, though analysts expect Toshiba may be forced to accept a cut-price offer given its financial woes are well-publicised.

Dispute

Shares in Toshiba have fallen more than 45% since late December, when it revealed the problems in its nuclear arm, linked to a deal done by US subsidiary, Westinghouse Electric.
Westinghouse bought a nuclear construction and services business from Chicago Bridge & Iron (CB&I) in 2015. But assets that it took on are likely to be worth less than initially thought, and there is also a dispute about payments that are due.
Toshiba has also reported "inefficiencies" in the labour force at CB&I, along with other factors driving up costs.
The damage to its finances threatens to undo efforts to recover from 2015 revelations that profits had been overstated for seven years. The accounting scandal led to the resignation of the company's chief executive.
Since then, Toshiba has been trying to slim down the business, including selling its profitable medical devices operation to Canon in 2016.

This Nigeria students make over $20000 dollar from watermelon plantation

According to Naij news,While many are losing their jobs and others their once thriving income due to the harsh state of this present economy a 23-yrs-old UNIBEN  from the departments of Environmental Science, Faculty of Life Sciences University of Benin, Benin City suddenly bumped into a weird simple Watermelon fruits farming strategies and made over 9 Million Naira in 162days growing it even without using cutlass/hoe or any kind of strenuous crude implements.

The amazing part of this young Environment Science undergraduate’s watermelon millionaire success story is that, he has never done anything farming in his entire life before neither does he has the strength to even lift a cutlass from the ground yet he did it and the results speaks volume.
Jude only became inspired after bumping into Osagie one security staff turned Watermelon Millionaire success story .he reached out to him for his strategies – the kind of organic nor-GMO seeds that is best for the Nigeria weather, the lists of various chemicals used, and all that and the rest now is history.
First, he began by cheaply getting about 22hecatares of land (about N5,000 per hectare) with the help and arrangement of a Guy Stanly at the Benin-Owena River Basin Authority and hired a tractor from the same agency to have it prepared.
And in 4days the entire 22hectares was ploughed and harrowed by the tractor and planting was done using the specialized bumper-yield-bearing seedlings.
Treatment - a combination of foliar fertilizers, insecticides, pesticides, fungicides etc. were repeatedly applied by the ‘Ogoja’ boys to boost yield and completely get rid of insects and stop diseases from breaking out among the crops.
This he was doing mostly weekend when there is no lecture so that he can adequately supervise the ‘Ogoja’ workers instructing them on the correct thing to do at every stage just as he had learned from Osagie’s watermelon millionaire strategies.
The ‘Ogoja’ boys were arranged to be paid at the end of the cultivation seasons.
The crops grew and the treatment chemicals were repeatedly applied to regulate insects and diseases outbreak on the farm.
The harvesting of the crops started after 73days of planting and they were sold at the end of the season.
And after 162days of running it two seasons over 9 Million Naira was realized.
He would have made way more than N9m from his smart agrobiz if had spaced his planting days as most of the fruits got ripe almost at the same time.
Before now this 23-yrs-old young UNIBEN undergraduate had always dreaded everything farming just like everyone even though when we know how highly profitable it could be. The lazy man smart approach to farming without touching and using cutlass/hoe he bumped into made him changed his mindset gave it a shoot and he got this results right here
The Only Way Now Left For Ordinary People To Get Rich Fast In This Present Economy?
No wonder the government and experts keep yelling it into our ears every now and then.
The results of this young 23-yrs-old UNIBEN Environmental scienceundergraduate student who has never done anything farming all his life before is a big reason why we all have to embrace it the smart way and take back our financial destiny.
It a sustainable and dependable income that with which everyone with his or her family can depend on especially during a time like this our economy seems to be going southwards every day.

Trump aide float boarder tax idea

According to huffingtonpost, the House on Thursday floated the idea of imposing a 20 percent tax on goods from Mexico to pay for a wall at the southern U.S. border, sending the peso tumbling and deepening a crisis between the two neighbors.
Mexican President Enrique Pena Nieto announced on Twitter around midday on Thursday that he was scrapping a planned trip to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump, who has repeatedly demanded that Mexico pay for a wall on the U.S. border.
Later in the day, White House spokesman Sean Spicer sent the Mexican peso falling to its low for the day when he told reporters that Trump wanted a 20 percent tax on Mexican imports to pay for construction of the wall.
Spicer gave few details, but his comments resembled an existing idea, known as a border adjustment tax, that the Republican-led U.S. House of Representatives is considering as part of a broad tax overhaul.
The White House said later its proposal was in the early stages. Asked if Trump favored a border adjustment tax, White House Chief of Staff Reince Priebus said such a tax would be "one way" of paying for the border wall.
"It's a buffet of options," he said.
The plan being weighed by House Republicans would exempt export revenues from taxation but impose a 20 percent tax on imported goods, a significant change from current U.S. policy.
"If you tax exports from Mexico into the United States, you're going to make things ranging from avocados to appliances to flat-screen tvs, you're going to make them more expensive," Mexican Foreign Minister Luis Videgaray told reporters at the Mexican Embassy in Washington on Thursday night.
Countries like Mexico would not pay such taxes directly. Companies would face the tax if they import products made there into the United States, potentially raising prices for American consumers.
The idea is unpopular with retailers and businesses that sell imported goods in the United States. It also has met opposition from some lawmakers worried about the impact on U.S. consumers.
Trump himself appeared to pan the idea in a Wall Street Journal interview last week, saying the House border adjustment provision was "too complicated."

Even after Trump's comments, congressional Republicans have continued to discuss the issue with White House officials in an effort to bring them on board with the idea.

Don't be afraid,Trump is not after you.See people Trump is chasing.

According to vox,Speaker of the House Paul Ryan has said similar things in the past, and made the point again Wednesday in an interview with Greta“They don't have to worry. We're focused on physical security of the border, we're focused on those who are coming to do us harm, from terrorist states and [...] violent criminals.”

Joy As Adama Barrow arrives home-Gambians

According to punch,Jubilant Gambians on Thursday welcomed home their new President Adama Barrow, who was elected almost two months ago but forced to flee to Senegal when his predecessor refused to step aside.
Dressed in flowing white robes and cap, Barrow stepped off the plane, with heavily-armed troops from Senegal and Nigeria standing by as he flew in from neighbouring Senegal, where he had taken shelter on January 15.
Barrow, who was accompanied by his two wives and some of his children, was welcomed by military officials and senior members of his coalition government.
His return marks The Gambia’s first democratic transfer of power and capped days of waiting in the tiny former British colony after longtime leader Yahya Jammeh had refused to leave after losing a December 1 vote.
Barrow took the oath of office at his country’s embassy in Dakar a week ago and a multinational African force then entered The Gambia to ensure his safe return home and Jammeh’s departure.
Hundreds gathered at the airport awaiting Barrow’s arrival, with drummers and dancers firing up the crowds as Nigerian and Senegalese soldiers looked on.
“He will develop this country! He’s good, not a killer,” said Barrow supporter Adja Kombeh.
Gambians have said they were looking forward to their freedom after two decades of Jammeh’s iron-fisted rule.

Mexico president terminate trump meeting as treating hike

According to washingtonpost,The Mexican president’s move came a day after Trump signed an executive order to construct a border wall which he has insisted that Mexico fund. Mexican officials have angrily rejected paying for the wall.Addressing a GOP policy retreat in Philadelphia, Trump said Thursday afternoon, “The president of Mexico and myself have agreed to cancel our planned meeting” next week. “Unless Mexico is going to treat the United States fairly, with respect, such a meeting would be fruitless.”Trump said that “border security is a serious, serious national issue and problem” that threatens the “sovereignty and safety” of Americans. “The American people will not pay for the wall, and I’ve made that clear to the government of Mexico,” he added. He also blasted the North American Free Trade Agreement, vowing that “I will not allow Americans to pay the cost” of the accord.
