The Lagos state government has been urged to declare a work free day for the traditional religion worshipper to have a sense of belonging and be rest assured that the ambode administration's inclusive governance do not leave them behind.
Agirotutu olamilekan made the appeal at the one day stakeholders meeting at the NECA house Tuesday 20th December. He said that one major problem facing the traditional religion was the absence of akn arrowhead .How can you place a Muslim or a Christian as the head of the ministry where culture and tradition clashes with his or her beliefs.That cannot promote what goes against his or her beliefs.with all asertion he therefore also urged government to consider replacing the arrow head of the ministry for a true and authentic pursuance towards the realisation of a one day public holiday for the traditionalist as we now have in osun state to materialise.
The permanent secretary ministry of tourism art and culture Alhaji Jamiu adewale ashimi who anchored the meeting assured the perticipant that there request would be forwarded to the Governor through the acting commissioner Mrs adebimpe akinsola.
Ashimi also disclosed that the Lagos state government has directed that all festivals in Lagos state like the egungun,eyo,igunuko,the sangbetos and agemo or oro festivals should be discussed and consultation made to arraibed at a definite date for each in 2017 so that tourist would know when to visit Lagos state for there favourite festivals.
