Why I can't be a Nigeria"stained whites"Activist

I have been wondering why many Nigerians tagged bloggers/media house owners and politicians "Birds of the same feathers"many nigerians dont believe in media anymore because they believe bloggers work hand to hand with political office holders,And any blogger or journalist who refused to cooperate with there various want and administration will be executed secretly or lockup officially, have discovered the reason for this nonchalant statement by some of my friends and colleague telling me "Blogger 're lier,Bloggers can't publish the real fact,Bloggers will hide under all other big news portal because blogger are  scared of government,Blogging is not encouraging in Nigeria,I posted a news about securing job and one international man send his cv23 to my mail telling me he want to relocate and work in other countries,How is that my concern?,Four month ago when my blog previously named olasikeji's blog,I came into limelight when my  post was shared by naij news,Due to this little popularity I became my friends microphone,I have a friend in school  who loves to argue a lot,Abiola always ask me,why cant you be an Activist?or are you scared,I think about it when I bought a jamb form to start  a law course all over,Not more than a week  My mum call me a tell me some things I can't disclose online,But she asked a question,Ola!I replied ma,You wont die young, dont do what will harm you,Law is too cost,I said am not cleared,Fine you must not blog or say anything about Green and stained white nation as a whole.i know she dont want me as a lawyer because she believe lawyer to be too fetish,And she knows activist is not encouraging  in Nigeria,Anyway I said to myself why are journalists being murdered,I noticed historically, Nigeria has boasted the most free and outspoken press of any African country, but also one which has consistently been the target of harassment by the past military dictatorships. Many agents of Nigeria's press have been imprisoned, exiled, tortured, or murdered as a result, among them being Ogoni activist and television producer Ken Saro-Wiwa, who was executed for treason by order of the Sani Abacha dictatorship in 1995 (resulting in the expulsion of Nigeria from the Commonwealth of Nations and sanctions from abroad).

Even under the somewhat less-oppressive current civilian government, journalists have continued to come under fire, be it from the government (as with the June 2006 arrest of Gbenga Aruleba and Rotimi Durojaiye of African Independent Television under charges of sedition) or from other popular establishments (such as the self-imposed exile of Thisday's Isioma Daniel following the riots in Northern Nigeria over "sensitive comments" which she had made in an article regarding Muhammad and the 2002 Miss World pageant.

A fatwa calling for her beheading was issued by the mullahs of northern Nigeria, but was declared null and void by the relevant religious authorities in Saudi Arabia, and the Obasanjo faced an international public relations smearing [especially within journalistic circles) in the aftermath, which was not helped by the Amina Lawal controversy which had occurred prior to the riots, which had seen over 200 dead). However, as with most other countries, blogging has increasingly become a much safer, and much easier, conduit for Nigeria's growing Internet-enabled minority to express their dissatisfactions with the current state of affairs in Nigeria.Just of recent,
March 2017, journalist Kemi Omololu-Olunloyo alleged that David Ibiyeomie was having an affair with Nollywood actress, Iyabo Ojo, describing him as her sugar daddy.Olunloyo was subsequently arrested and refused bail for defamation. Ibiyeomie strongly denies the allegation.let come to facts,Nigeria don't want Journalism  existence, just imagine  how  dele giwa  was killed.
According to Wikipedia,Giwa's neighbour and colleague, Ray Ekpu, on 16 October 1986, Giwa had been questioned over the telephone by Col Halilu Akilu of the Directorate of Military Intelligence (DMI) over an allegation that Dele had been heard speaking to some people about arms importation. SSS officials reportedly summoned Giwa to their headquarters again on 16 October 1986, and on the next day Ekpu accompanied him to the SSS headquarters for the interview. Lt. Col Togun accused Giwa and Newswatch of planning to write the "other side" of the story on Ebitu Ukiwe who was removed as Chief of the General staff, to General Babangida. The magazine had published a cover story titled, "Power Games: Ukiwe loses out", in its edition of 20 October which was on sale on 13 October 1986. Togun also accused Giwa plotting with the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, and students to carry out a socialist revolution. Giwa was also accused of saying that Newswatch would employ the suspended police public relations officer Alozie Ogugbuaja. Ogugbuaja claims that on 16 October 1986, a bomb was defused by the police bomb squad at his official residence in GRA, Ikeja, Lagos. Ogugbuaja also said that he suspected that his phone might have been bugged because Giwa and Ray Ekpu in one of their telephone conversations with him had indeed promised to employ him in Newswatch if the police dismissed him.Ray Ekpu also believed that their houses and phones may have been bugged because he did discuss employing Ogugbuaja in Newswatch with dele Giwa over the phone only; he said that he found two bugging devices in the cover of two books inside his study.Lt. Col. Togun while questioning Giwa had claimed that he wasn't aware of the fact that Akilu had already questioned Giwa over the gun running allegations the day before, this was after Giwa had brought it to his attention.

Giwa reported the interrogations to his friend Prince Tony Momoh who was then the Minister of Communications, Giwa had told Momoh that he feared for his life because of the weight of the accusations levelled against him. According to Ekpu, Momoh "dismissed it as a joke and said the security men just wanted to rattle him"; Momoh promised to look into the matter. On 18 October Giwa also spoke to Admiral Augustus Aikhomu, the Chief of General Staff who said he was familiar with the matter and also promised to look into it.

Later on 18 October, a day before the bombing, a staff of the DMI had phoned Giwa's house and asked for his office phone number from his wife Funmi. This same person from the DMI later called back to say he couldn't reach Giwa at the office and then put Col Akilu on the line. Ekpu alleges that Akilu asked Giwa's wife for driving directions to the house and when she asked him why he needed the directions he explained that he wanted to stop by the house on his way to Kano and he wasn't very familiar with Ikeja, he also offered that the President's ADC had something for Giwa, probably an invitation. According to Ekpu this didn't come as a surprise because Giwa had received advance copies of some of the President's speeches in the past through Akilu.

On 19 October, Giwa phoned Akilu to ask why he had been calling his house the previous day, Akilu was alleged to have explained that he only wanted to tell Giwa that the matter had been resolved. Ekpu says Giwa replied Akilu that it wasn't over and that he had already informed his lawyer, Chief Gani Fawehinmi to follow up on the matter. Akilu then told Giwa that there was no need for that, that it wasn't a matter for lawyers and that he should consider the matter resolved.About 40 minutes after the telephone conversation with Akilu, a package was delivered to Giwa's guard (the accounts of which vehicle was used to deliver the package vary). When Giwa received the package, he was with Kayode Soyinka (London Bureau Chief of Newswatch). The package exploded, mortally wounded Giwa and temporarily deafening Soyinka, who had excused himself to the rest room shortly before Giwa was supposed to have attempted opening the package. Giwa was rushed to the hospital where he eventually died from his wounds,Please readers do  You want me die in this nation of illegal act?As if that was not enough,Recently a blogger was announced missing and later announced dead,Unlike in cases where Nigerian bloggers get arrested for criticising the government, this is the first time a blogger would get killed. However, it is still unclear if Abdulhakeem’s murder is related to his activism.
Lastly,I think about the Nigeria politicians who 're  very  wicked and fetish,Not that am scared of these people but I can't just keep shouting while all cases remain thesame, few months ago 2face idibia decide to protest not until he tweeted “Dear Nigerians, due to security concerns and public safety consideration, I hereby announce the cancellation of the march.”I am a Yoruba,I see clearly that our Yoruba leaders are not clean and I am not safe living among them,Yoruba leader are not trustworthy anymore,And even If Nigeria politicians are treating me,Lagos is not safe for me,I can only be at peace  only in Ekiti state because Fayose is there for me,But I can't stay in Ekiti for life and  fayose can't be my bodyguard,I can only be a Nigeria Activist only if Nigerians can provide me adequate securities, both spiritual and physical guard,Anything apart from  this terms, count me out of activism duties, infact i am not interested in activism in a stained white colour Nation.
In conclusion major disadvantage of being an Activist is inadequate security.for  a journal man can be killed like a mosquito,I can be an activist elsewhere,But not in Nigeria.

Nigeria losses former minister for education

According to lindaikeji blogs Former Minister of Education Babalola Borishade has died at 71. He died yesterday  April 26th in a hospital in London after battling a lung and heart disease.

RIP

President Buhari mission to work from home negatively infected

Punch published that The Peoples Democratic Party and Civil Liberties Organisation have criticised   President Muhammdu Buhari’s decision to perform  his official roles from home.

Buhari was   absent  from  a meeting of the Federal Executive Council  inside the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa, Abuja, on Wednesday.

Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo  presided  over the meeting. Buhari did not also  attend the FEC meeting last week, with the  Presidency attributing his absence  to the Easter holiday.

Following the President’s absence from Wednesday’s meeting, the Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Lai Mohammed, said  Buhari was   working from home.

In a statement,  Mohammed said the President only decided to work from home  on Wednesday, not that he had  decided to work from home henceforth.

The minister  said, “He (the President) wanted to rest today and he asked the VP to preside over today’s meeting.

“In addition, he also asked that all his files be taken home to him and he will be working from home today.’’

But the PDP kicked against the development, urging the Presidency  to reveal Buhari’s  health status.

Spokesman  for the party’s National Caretaker Committee, Prince Dayo Adeyeye, stated the party’s position in an interview with our  one of our correspondents in Abuja on Wednesday.

Adeyeye said  it was obvious that  Mohammed did not know what to tell Nigerians following  the third consecutive absence of the President from  the weekly FEC meeting.
